Dehorristation

Late at night, the monkeys dance
looking dashing in their yellow pants,
while hippos swing amid the trees
and we sit and watch Hercules.
And on the washboard, sailors play
and sing, "Fiddley orey-ay!"

On bubbles floating through the air,
past goats in sheepskin underwear,
the sprites watch their world destroyed
by men who act like little boys,
turning magic into gray
and singing, "Fiddley orey-ay!"

Fish hop along on stepping stones
to the samurai pig sitting on his throne.
The forest creatures all conspire
and set the peoples homes on fire,
while they do naught in their dismay
but cry out, "Fiddley orey-ay!"
